Labor groups rally at Massachusetts State House to show support for Wisconsin public employees.
Massachusetts labor groups rallied in front of the Massachusetts state house on Beacon Hill and as their opposing groups showed up the street closed down quickly. They were met by members of the Tea Party and other opposing citizens. The labor groups came to show their support and solidarity with the Wisconsin public employees whose collective bargaining power could be taken away by the proposal of Republican Gov. Scott Walker. This was one of many national rallies in different states so unions backers could show their support for Wisconsin public employees and to demonstrate that they will not tolerate this treatment. The protest became tense a few times as people shouted and argued over the topic at hand. Among these tense moments was when Michael Graham of 96.9 fm Boston Talks was met with extreme hostility as he shouted in support of Scott Walker through his megaphone.
